University of the Philippines-UP announced a new schedule of the conduct of  UP College Admission Test (UPCAT)  on August 3 or 4, 2013. This admission exam is for prospective applicants seeking admission for 2014-2015 School Year.

Deadline for Filing Applications

3   June 2013 – Start of Filing UPCAT 2014 Applications

14 June 2013 – Metro Manila schools
21 June 2013 – Non-Metro Manila schools
*Applications filed after the deadlines may be subject to late fees.
Every year, many thousands who aspire to enter the University of the Philippines (Last year, there were over 74,000 examinees). The UPCAT consists of 4 subtests: Language Proficiency, Science, Mathematics and Reading Comprehension. There is no  minimum high school average grade requirement for taking the UPCAT however, standardized scores on these subtests are combined with the weighted average of final grades in the first three years of high school to determine qualification into UP.
