About the School
AB Architectural Designs Review started in 2008 as a response for the clamour of some graduates of architecture who would like to review for the twice a year Architecture Licensure Examination (ALE) but don’t have the money to leave their existing jobs and their respective families while reviewing. AB Architectural Designs Review considers the review center an opportunity to help aspirants to the profession. Review modules were designed to fit the demands of a working reviewee: affordable review fees and thrice-a week after office hour classes.
Original reviewers include Arch. Roberto T. Aguillon, a faculty member of LCC School of Architecture and a graduate of Ms Architecture from the University of Sto. Tomas ( cum laude); Arch. Rolem L. Basiya, 6th placer January 2003 Architecture Board Exam and Arch. Abemar Gegantoni, 8th placer June 2007 Board exam. Soon successful passers who also reviewed from the center were invited to join. Reviewers for Engineering and structural subjects are Engr. Jaime Acebedo and Engr. Joe Hamilton Dilag.
Soon after, the review center produced its first successful reviewee in January 2009 in the person of Arch. Luigi Locsin for 1 out of 1 passing rate. Five out of ten who took the June 2009 exam passed (Leo Estampador, Princess Aisa Jacinto, Reineil Pasquin, Demie Verde). Vincent Rey David, Krenz Gabitoya, Wilmore Labroda, Andrew Loyzaga and Glenn Ymballa passed in January 2010 while Alvin Samodal, Sui Alvior, Arlou Carampatana, Restituto Daffon, Zeke Dalisay, Arvin Malvas, Crisantomas Tranquilino became architects in June 2010 for a 70% passing rate. The review center’s passing rate is generally higher than the national passing rate in the licensure exams.
